Gottesackerplateau
The Gottesacker plateau can be accessed in summer with very good equipment and mountain experience or with a mountain guide and only when the weather is good. In winter, a 3-5 km long winter hiking trail leads along the Gottesacker (accessible by train and only open when the weather is good).
The Gottesacker Plateau, the most important karst landscape in Austria and Germany, consisting of Schrattenkalk, with a variety of weathering forms and rare plant species, is more than 100 million years old. The Gottesacker plateau is only accessible in summer with very good equipment and mountain experience or with mountain guides and only in good weather.
