Widdersteinhütte
No rest day. The hut accommodates 20 people in the sleeping area and is only available for booking with overnight stay including breakfast. Open from June 7th to October 5th, 2025, with the last overnight stay available on October 4th, 2025. Dogs cannot be accommodated.
We spoil our guests with traditional dishes from our kitchen and cellar.
This privately run mountain hut is located at 2015 m, south of the Grosser Widderstein (2533 m). The Widderstein Hut can be reached from the Hochtannberg Pass in about an hour. The elevation difference between the Hochtannberg Pass and the Widderstein Hut is 350 m. It is also possible to ascend from Baad in Kleinwalsertal, from Mittelberg in Kleinwalsertal, and from Warth. Walking time: approximately 3 hours.
The Widderstein Hut is a great starting point for a mountain hike up the Grosser Widderstein. The climb to the 2533 m summit takes 1.5 hours from the hut.
